SAFE-GUARD® (fenbendazole) is for use in beef and dairy cattle as an aid in the removal and control of lungworms, stomach worms, and intestinal worms.
Indications
BEEF AND DAIRY CATTLE: 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) body weight for the treatment and control of:
- Adult Dictyocaulus viviparus
- Adult brown stomach worms (Ostertagia ostertagi)
- Adult and fourth stage larvae barberpole worms (Haemonchus contortus & H. placei)
- Adult and fourth stage larvae small stomach worms (Trichostrongylus axei)
Intestinal worms (Adult and fourth stage larvae):
- Hookworms (Bunostomum phlebotomum)
- Thread-necked intestinal worms (Nematodirus helvetianus)
- Small intestinal worms (Cooperia punctata & C. oncophora)
- Bankrupt worms (Trichostrongylus colubriformis)
- Nodular worms (Oesophagostomum radiatum)
Treatment shows a clear advantage in dry matter intake, average daily gain, improved health and pounds of beef produced.
Indications
GOATS: 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) body weight for the treatment and control of:
- Adults (Haemonchus contortus & Teladorsagia circumcincta)
Dosage
One liter deworms 43,478 lb. of cattle; one gallon deworms 164,565 lb. of cattle; 10 liters deworms 434,780 lb. of cattle. (2.3mL/100 lb. of cattle).
Administer orally. The recommended dose of 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) of body weight is achieved when 2.3 mL of the drug are given for each 100 lb body weight.
